Executive Chef Kevin McCombs
In the spring of 2003, my passion for cooking led me to Colorado to pursue a degree in the culinary arts. Located in the heart of the Rocky Mountains, my decision to attend the Colorado Mountain College Keystone Culinary Institute was not a difficult one. CMC’s hands-on, apprentice-style learning program taught me the skills necessary to build a career in the hospitality industry. With these opportunities and the abundance of outdoor recreation I was intent on making Colorado my home. I began my professional career as a sous chef at the historical Ski Tip Lodge after completing the apprenticeship program and receiving my degree. After two years of hard work refining my cuisine and sharpening my skills, I was promoted to Executive Chef. In this role, I took the Ski Tip to new levels, and the community recognized my work by voting the Lodge “Best Restaurant in Summit County” in both 2011, 2012 and 2013. My five years in a leadership role at the Ski Tip gave me the experience necessary to begin my new project in House Cured Culinary.
